Refugee health

NAPHL's Refugee Health Nurses work with people who have arrived in North Queensland under the Australian Government’s Humanitarian Program to help them access health care in the Townsville region. They provide health assessments, referrals and ongoing health care while advocating for client rights.

Our Refugee Health Nurses work closely with the Townsville Multicultural Support Group (TMSG) welcoming and settlement services, General Practitioners, Townsville Hospital Services, Townsville Public Health Unit (TPHU) and referral agencies to make sure newly settled refugees have access to high-quality health care.

Contact us to find out more about our Refugee Health services.
