General Practitioners working in Northern Queensland are invited to this online educational event facilitated by a General Practitioner currently transitioning out of the Defence Force.


Educational Activity Aim

The event will provide GPs the opportunity to reinforce and improve the management of healthcare for Defence
Veterans. It aims to improve knowledge, skills and confidence in defence veteran health consultations. It will provide GPs with clarity around conducting post ADF health assessments and selecting relevant treatment.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learning outcome 1 – Describe Veteran and ADF culture and life
  • Learning outcome 2 – Identify common health issues for Defence Veterans

  • Learning outcome 4 - Define Ex Serving Organisations and ways to effectively communicate with them
